Trip Overview

This itinerary will make you experience some very different and spectacular aspects of Nepal from the Himalayas to sub tropical jungles.

Your tour starts from Nepal’s timeless capital, Kathmandu, a melting pot of Hinduism and Buddhism, with its ancient palaces and temples, rich culture and colourful bazaars.

You will then head to the beautiful, laid back lakeside town of Pokhara and start your trek in the spectacular semi-deserted area of Lower Mustang after a scenic flight to Jomsom, over the deepest gorge in the world.

You will walk through an incredible mountain landscape, with colourful rock formations and great mountain views of the Annapurna range, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri.

Along the way, you will experience the well preserved Tibetan Buddhist culture and distinctive way of life of this area, visit charming ancient villages, monasteries and gompas, and explore Muktinath, one of the most important religious sites in the Himalayas with Buddhist and Hindu temples.

At last, you will reach the Terai, in the south of Nepal, with its distinctive Tharu culture and spend a few days in Chitwan National Park, one of the best spots for viewing wildlife in Asia and home to the one-horned rhino, monkeys, leopards, wild elephants, sloth bears and Bengal tigers.
